Routes

The main entrance is on Route 5 south to the junction Lanco, Lanco go to Panguipulli, then take the international road-Puerto Fuy Panguipulli will take you to the Reserve. From Temuco to do the route Villarrica - Lican Ray - Coñaripe - Lake Neltume - Neltume. If traveling from Argentina the road ahead is through the international road Hua Hum step after crossing the lake by barge Pirehueico (The border crossing is open all year).

Barge Hua Hum

Pirehueico Lake belongs to the Commune of Panguipulli, plays an integrative role between Chile and Argentina. Sailing 26 miles an hour and a half through a wildlife conservation area of native forest, with trees from the shore hanging from the Andean mountains, the barge "Hua Hum" connects the Chilean cities of Puerto Fuy and Puerto Pirehueico.

From this last point, with a height above sea level of only 659 meters, the traveler enters the Hua Hum International Pass, connecting with the city after Argentina's San Martin de los Andes, by land or through the Lake Lacar.
